Charcuterie Trees

2023

For Allan Wexler’s Studio 4 Final, “A Picnic Basket for Two People”

Pushing the boundaries of creative thinking. Using absurdity as a tool to intertwine sculpture and design.

Ideated, designed, and fabricated over the course of six weeks.
Harvesting meat, cheese, crackers, and fruit from a Gerrit Rietveld and Enzo Mari inspired landscape of constructivist objects.

Fabricating nature and interacting within a constructed environment.

Made entirely from scrap pieces of hardwood and sheet metal.

Absurd Thought Processes

Thinking with my hands. Exclusively using rough cut scrap wood and designing without sketching. Utilizing making as an in-the-moment method of ideation.
